Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. Now adding this additional sway bar to your sprinter is gonna make a huge difference. If you've driven a sprinter just once you know that once you're out on the highway, they're fairly top heavy. I used one as a delivery vehicle for a long time and when it's dusty out or when you're passing a semi, it is gonna wanna sway. And especially our RV style here, there's a lot more weight going into it. And the sprinter does have a factory sway bar, but this is an additional one to just further fight that sway that you're gonna get throughout the suspension. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Hellwig rear sway bar on a 2018 Tiffin Allegro Open Road. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed. And what's really nice is it uses a lot of the factory mounting points that are already there and that does include changing out the U-bolts for new ones. And this plate will just slide over where those existing ones were. You get new hardware to bolt this up. We also, off of that new bracket, have our brackets with our polyurethane bushings, and that's something throughout this whole sway bar. more

Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2018 Ford F-53- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Hellwig Rear Sway Bar on a 2018 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed, and what's really nice is it uses a lot of the factory mounting points that are already there, and that does include changing out the U-bolts for new ones, and this plate will just slide over where those existing ones were, you get new hardware to bolt this up, we also, off of that new bracket, have our brackets with our polyurethane bushings, and that's something throughout this whole sway bar, you have polyurethane in all of the bushings, which make it a much smoother operation, they don't break down long-term, and they hold up really, really well to weather or any chemicals that you might see out on the road. Going along with that factory mounting, we do have a bracket up here that's gonna go to a cross member that's on your frame already, and it's gonna utilize three of those bolts, or at least those bolt holes to get this attached. So it's solidly mounted to your frame as well as your U-bolts, and just kind of follows along with your rear axle, so that way, when one side has a little bit of weight onto it, it's gonna fight against it. Now something you may notice is, this is on the rear of the axle from the factory, these actually have one in the front, so this is just gonna help out that front one do a little bit more of that sway control. And this being an inch and 3/4 inch thick, means that it has quite a bit of tension to be able to really fight against the sway, even with a vehicle this heavy. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2011 Ford F-150 and we're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install, the Hellwig Front Anti-Sway Bar. This anti-sway bar is designed to replace your factory anti-sway bar. It's going to be a little bit thicker design, coming in at an inch and a half in diameter, whereas your factory one is more like an inch and a quarter, inch and an eighth, something like that. This is just simply designed to help reduce the body roll when driving on windy roads, or if you hit big gusts of wind, this is going to help to keep your truck more centered than your factory one did. Now from the factory trucks, more and more are becoming more comfortable to drive. more

This rear anti-sway bar is going to be an addition to the vehicle. You don't have to remove an anti-sway bar, because the rear of our F-150 does not come with one from the factory. What this is designed to do is it's designed to help control body roll to bring the vehicle back to center when going around windy turns or if you're hauling an uneven load, it'll help to offset that so that your drive is a lot more confident and comfortable. Now when choosing any upgrades for your suspension, you really wanna determine what do you need to do with it. If you are truly feeling sway, or anytime a gust of wind comes along and you're really kind of having to fight to bring it back to center, or if you're just making turns and it still seems like it's squashed to one side when making another quick turn, that rear anti-sway bar is gonna make a huge difference. Because it's using the weight of the chassis and structurally mounting to the axle, as it flexes to one side, it's gonna fight against it on the other, bringing it back to that center. And really flat is good when it comes to handling, that just means that it's gonna be better overall for parking lot driving or small maneuvering, but also out on the highway. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed, and you see that it sits on the rear of the differential. more

This is gonna be Roadmaster's Exact Center steering stabilizer, that we're gonna install, on our 2019 Ford F-53 chassis. So we're under the coach right now, and this is what your stabilizer is gonna look like, when it's mounted up under here, it's much like a steering stabilizer that you might have on your vehicle as well, this is nitrogen, it's gas charged. And this is gonna be pressurized both directions when you turn left and right. It's gonna tie in to your factory spring pack over here on the bottom side. more

When you have an RV, something of this size, when you hit little bumps in the road or a semi passes you on the road or just any truck or trailer of any size, the feeling that you get when you're driving 60 or 70 miles an hour down the road is very, very unnerving. What'll happen is you'll feel that suction and the wheels will want to, the whole RV is wanting to follow the suction from that truck when it passes. Adding the steering stabilizer is gonna take some of that away. It's not gonna take it all away because you look at the size of the rig we have, you can only imagine how big of a steering stabilizer we'd have to have to have no movement and at that point, you wouldn't be able to turn it at all because it would be fighting you too much. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster front sway bar on a 2015 Thor A.C.E. When it comes to upgrades for your RV, something that people don't necessarily think about that often until they've driven for a while is suspension and suspension enhancements and something with a large coach, something like this as you make a turn it feels top heavy and naturally it just wants to sway. Sometimes steering can be pretty numb feeling and that's not exactly a feeling you want while driving something this large. And especially when gusts of wind come and the vehicle sways side to side. Having that eliminated or close to eliminated is a great comforting feeling and a great way to do that is going to be upgrading your factory sway bar. Now this one is, looks to be almost about the same diameter as the factory one, but let me tell you as soon as you pick up this new one versus your old one you'll see the weight difference and that's really where it can hold up to the stress and weight of the RV. more

And then once we have the sway bar installed, we'll do this again, and see if there's an improvement, and from my past experience, these usually work really well, and the difference or the improvement is really noticeable, so I don't see why it should be any different with this setup, but, with that said, why don't we hop in, and see how it does. So we'll first start by going over some bumps, and the big problem with these motor homes is that they're so top heavy. You get a ton of that body roll, you know, you feel it kinda going like this and it takes forever to come back and kinda flatten itself out. more

Now the Roadmaster anti-sway bar kit is gonna work in conjunction with your factory rear anti-sway, that you already have installed. You don't remove that, you just add that to it on the backside of the axle. This is going to help you reduce the back and forth motion from swaying and crosswinds or when you're passing trucks on the highway. Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Winnebago Spirit Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a 2016 Winnebago Spirit. Upgrading your rear sway bar to a thicker version like we have here on our Roadmaster is gonna make a big difference when driving the vehicle. Now your standard sway bar does a pretty good job of holding the vehicle in a nice, even fashion. So when that suspension leans to the other side, the sway bar just pushes back and centers it up, and having a thicker bar to be able to do that means that it's gonna be centered up a lot quicker. It's not gonna lean as much, and, overall, it's just gonna reduce driving fatigue, because you're not having to fight the steering wheel as those gusts of wind come across the highway or, if you pass a truck, this is really gonna help with that experience, and the great part about something like a sway bar, or any suspension components is, every time you drive it, you're gonna feel it working, and you're really gonna enjoy it, just because you'll have an overall better driving experience. Now comparing our Roadmaster sway bar to the factory one, you can see pretty quickly that this is much thicker gauge steel. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar on a 2016 Winnebago Spirit. Having a thicker front sway bar just means that there's gonna be more resistance to that sway. And not only will you notice it just in turning and parking lots or just small low speed maneuvers, but the main thing that you're really gonna notice is on those windy days out on an open highway as those wind gusts come around or as you're passing semis. Instead of the vehicle going back and forth, this is gonna help stabilize it. And that's gonna translate to just an overall easier driving experience. You're not having to fight each time. more

Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2021 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer on 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now, Jeeps do have a steering stabilizer from the factory here. And some systems will actually just replace this while this one works in conjunction with it. And what that's gonna do is as you're steering, the death wobble of Jeeps really comes down to it, trying to find that center and bouncing back and forth. And having struts inside of the exact center is gonna allow that to kind of taper in and take that death wobble out. more

Then what you're gonna wanna do is install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. This steering stabilizer has a nitrogen gas filled shock in the center of it, so there's no more big, heavy coil that's gonna be sitting on there that you'll have to deal with. more

An anti-sway bar is a pretty much essential component of your motor home, especially when you have the Class A motor home like we do today. Basically what this does is this is gonna help with your steering, it's gonna keep you in line a little bit better, it's gonna also handle that sway as you're making tight turns or if you're up on the highway hitting the crosswinds when a semi comes by, or maybe it's just a honestly windy day and pushing you. And this is gonna help keep that body roll from happening. It's going to pull down on whatever side of your frame that's trying to lift up. So if I was making a left turn and my right starts to just pull up a little bit, I'm losing traction with my wheels, there's a good chance that you could actually tip over. more

Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2005 Workhorse W-Series- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer on a 2005 Workhorse W Series. So we're gonna go here on our test course and I'm gonna just kind of let the steering wheel naturally kind of do what it needs to do. Now we have some off center bumps here and we'll see if the steering wheel moves. And a little bit of jostling there. But what I'm gonna do here is a long wide sweeper and then as I kind of get to the straight portion of it I'm gonna kind of just let the steering wheel center itself. And it does a pretty good job. more

Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2004 Ford F-53 RM73RR- Video
Hi there, motorhome owners. Today, on your 2004 Ford F-53 chassis motorhome, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Exact Center steering stabilizer. We'll be using the custom bracket kit as well for our Class A motorhome here. All right, so before we install the steering stabilizer and really feel the difference that we've got, we've got an older motorhome here, this one is getting kinda redone by the customer, so he's already kinda looked over at the suspension and made sure things are good, he's had a lot of that serviced, now he's working on the interior, but he wants it to be the best driving experience possible, we're gonna hit our test course here with it just stock and then we'll install our steering stabilizer and hit the course again and see the difference. So, we're just gonna go over our bumps course first. This is gonna be our uneven bumps. more
